Encounter Bay New Modern Kitchen

The stunning residence is located along the foreshore of beautiful Encounter Bay. The client wanted to honor the location by bringing the coastal vibe into the home. This meant a clear colour palette of crisp clean white, sandy hues and accents of vibrant turquoise. The kitchen needed to be inviting and truly user friendly for the many people that will use the home both the owners and many guests.

The most outstanding feature would be the glass splash back. The concept of a splash back that could be raised and lowered provided numerous challenges including finding suitable hardware for the application, building a hanging bulkhead that would be strong enough to support the weight of the splash back and the question of how to service the motor in the future if needed.

These problems were solved through lengthy consultation with the hardware supplier and the builder, as well as providing a special access panel for future maintenance, also special column guides were made from 2pack to keep the splash correctly placed during use.
