The Ashton is a display home for a local high end custom builder in Port Elliot. The display home was a long time coming, and we had multiple iterations of the design as the owners worked to define the homes style and flow. What started as a light and airy modern Hamptons brief turned into a desire to create a contemporary Scandinavian barn with more of a dark and moody feel.
Design Features
- A custom island with a solid timber drop down seating area
- Specialty-stained timber veneer cabinetry complimented by anti-fingerprint charcoal matte doors and panels
- Small sink to the island and a larger sink located on the walk through to the expansive WIP
- Lift up doors, integrated dishwasher and a sneaky power-point located on the island were all consciously included to help the builders’ clients visualise their own dream homes
